what's new in green chem?

I'm headed to Portland this weekend to reconnect with some professional buddies who are also into Green Chemistry. What's new in Green Chem and in Green Chem education? I can hardly wait to find out.

If there ever was a group of cool chemists, this is it.

Among the best things I heard, Green Chem is coming to General Chemistry. Folks are organizing workshops in the area, and the biodiesel project at Lane continues.

The GEMs database of Green Chemistry materials is going to undergo an update, soon, too. Faculty and students are of course very interested: so much of the work going on right now involves communicating the Principles to a larger and more diverse audience.

I wonder if lesser developed countries are exposed to benifits of Green Chemistry..hum..
